Is It Live or Is It Memorex

Baby Gray's got a sound machine.  He's been listening to it since he was born as he goes to sleep and through the night.  It contains sounds that are recorded (probably not on Memorex which is an old cassette tape maker) on a CD.  It's got sounds of a heart beat, lulaby's, waterfall and rain.  He usually listens to the rain...it's the most consistent.
I've got a sound machine too.  Mine was actually a part of a scented candle set.  I never really used it with the candle because I have it on my nightstand.  It has sounds too.  Birds, waves, birds on the shore, and a running stream.  Sometimes at night I will turn it on to fall asleep or go back to sleep.  I usually listen to the running stream.  It's soothing and smooth.  It's better than counting sheep!
There are no roaring wind sounds on either of our sound machines.  SOOOO I'm pretty sure that the roaring north wind I hear is coming from outside.  It's whipping the trees and ringing every chime around.  Once again it feels like I'm in the throws of west Texas. Thanksfully, however, there is no dust.  Yesterday I saw on FB where the National Weather Service said "Warning.  Within next 15 minute,s 60 mile an hour winds will hit Midland.  With it will be blowing dust that will minimize vision.  Take cover".
I thank God I'm in south central Texas.  I'm glad the sound machines do not have blowing wind.  And I'll take blustery winds in my little house sans the dust anytime over "taking cover".

Matthew 14:31-33

New International Version (NIV)
31 Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said,“why did you doubt?”
32 And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down. 33 Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.”

Encourage One Another, continuing the journey on fresh paths.

Blessings and love to you, xoxo.

  1. how scary to get a 15' wind warning and to take cover! i hear ya on the wind, oh wait, no, i can't hear ya over that roaring... ok i am lying, today is wonderful, not still, but not jowl shaking either. its a gorgeous perfect day. we just ate lunch outside, my husband was frozen in the wind, put on a sweatshirt, jacket and hoody just to eat... he would have done mittens but we were eating shrimp boil and he was dunking in butter... me, i was free and easy with no outwear enjoying a civilized cold breeze. we call 20-30 mph a breeze these days!

i love to sleep to the real sounds of the night, the buoy clinking at sea, the sound of the waves, at home its coyotes and owls, donkeys and cows. i don't know how city folk can sleep, manmade sounds drive me crazy.

how were you rolls, did you lovem'?
